RNS 510 Sat Nav on the fritz!
« on: 09 May 2016, 21:03 »
Hi all,

Has anyone else had problems with their sat nav?  For some reason mine thinks I'm near Luton even though I'm in Milton Keynes. I tried resetting to factory settings and that's not done anything, on top of that I can't enter destinations either!  Just totally useless now.

Anyone else had the same problem? If so, how did you fix it. It's still under VW warranty so may take it in. I didn't do anything to the unit out of the ordinary so I'm perplexed as to why it's just gone mad.

Have you tried a soft reset? This can be done by simultaneously holding down the left and right track change buttons and the I or star button. Keep them held until the screen switches off and then you can release.

Might be worth a try?

Hi SeaBrook, yes I did twice. Still no luck. Booked in for VW to take a look and do a diagnostic, have to wait three weeks though. Just very odd that it's happened with no obvious reason why!

Might be the aerial connection. How many satellites do you get?
TCR, Pure Grey, DCC, Dynaudio and Climate Screen.
