Hello GTI owners!

Hi all

Just joined as I'm looking for my first GTI (MKV). I was a former A3 tdi owner and fancy a change.

I'm sure this forum will give me some good advice on what to look out for and opinions on manual v dsg.

Will try both as I know it a personal preference!

I haven't tried the dsg but changing gear is an aspect of driving I enjoy, so I didn't consider dsg when I was looking.

Fair enough. I plan to try both on the same day if I can. I spend a lot of time in queues so giving my left foot a rest would be good!


Budget isn't the best though, between 3-4k so I know its going to be an early high miler. I could push it to 5k but I plan on keeping some back for any work that may be required.
