New Mk3 from Somerset
« on: 31 October 2015, 17:09 »
Hey folks, Got myself a bargain Mk3 1997 1.6cl. Nothing flashy, just a cheap low mileage reliable runaround. Have a few minor problems that I need to deal with but I will post in relevant sections. Already spent an hour reading previous threads.

Hiya Bud, I'll say Hello to ya as I'm Noob myself & this section seems a bit quiet. Post pics of the Mk3 & list future work/mods.

Hey up somebloke. I'm just a bit of a tinkerer to be honest. I have my weekend car I just bought this as a runaround.
I am looking to do a few diy common jobs, like Drivers door lock replacement, finding the oil leak at some point, fixing the rear electric window and replacing the ceiling as its coming apart.
Trying to find a decent OE parts website too but they all seem to send me to ebay..... Any ideas?

Places like oemandmore, vw heritage and vw parts international (on ebay) are all good places for oe or pattern parts. Can usually get good offers at oemandmore :)
