Cables under drivers seat?
« on: 23 October 2015, 17:04 »
Hey peeps, been trying to identify these cables that are under the drivers seat. Not long had the car & still learning.

They're just freely located and have no current purpose/stowage? My guess is Bluetooth for the bigger port with the white clasp? No idea about the purple cable?

If it is a harness for bluetooth capability, I have an RNS-510 would I just need the Bluetooth Module and VagCom? A push in the right direction would be ace  :nerd:

They are both for the Bluetooth module. As the car as had Bluetooth at some point, it would be a case of plug and play, without the need for coding.

There are more and more cars like this getting about, as the previous owners or leasers are whipping them out before taking the cars back, then selling them on ebay.
Red Mk6 gone replaced with a white Mk7 which has gone too. Green Mk2 here to stay.

Cheers dubber, that's cleared a lot up for me! I had an idea of what it might have been but wasn't 100%.
But yea like you said, looks like they've cashed in the old bluetooth module & foam housing.
