I think he was dropped on his head at birth.  Let's just say he's an interesting character, great fun to be around but in small doses.

I think the case is how large is the box the TV comes packaged in.  The box was way bigger than the TV itself. I also had the seat complete foward and almost touching the dash.  I was unable to drive home, until I decided to put the soundbar I bought with it , underneath to prop the TV up diagonally.  Then i was able to put the seat back and drive. I told my wife this was the reason I bought the soundbar.  I don't think she bought my excuse.

Thanks for your tips, will assess the damage and try a few.

The TV is awesome.  I bought a Panasonic 50" 4K Firefox OS system with 5.1 soundbar.  The picture on the TV is a little too good.  Watched some films on it which I thought had good CG, but on this TV it's so clear and high def every single flaw and cheap effect is shown up.  It almost looks as if films which were good on a low def TV now appear as if it were acted out by an amateur dramatics society with cheap props and effects.  Great TV though.

We should run a thread of what can you fit in the back of your GTI.  My father in law would approve as his overall decision making of which car to buy depends on whether you could fit a washing machine or fridge in the back.

The box mine was in has the stand at one end of the TV, definitely a tight squeeze!

Couldn't quite stretch to 4k (yet) but even 'standard' full HD is an amazing picture!!

I had been saving money and waiting for the right time to buy.  The TV it replaced was about 10 years old, HD Ready TV.  4K is not even up and running fully yet as a standard.  But the HDD/Blu Ray Player I've got does 4K upscale and the difference s noticable between the 4K upscale and HD.

My box also had a stand at one end.  I think your box most definitely was bigger in that case.  However do you have any legs or do you have removable limbs as with my 50" I couldn't get in the drivers seat until I propped the box up at an angle.

It was a fun trip home as my wife hates the sound of polystyrene rubbing together and the packaging in the box was creaking all the way home.  Her teeth were on edge for the entire half hour trip home.

A little off-topic but this is probably Panasonic's form of motion interpretation. It's basically tech that is designed to make action "smoother". A lot of people absolutely hate it (myself included). It bugs me enough to even turn if off on other people's TV's when I go around their house

I believe Panasonic call it "Intelligent Frame Creation". Try turning it off while watching a movie and it should look as it you would normally expect.

It's a common complaint on new TV's - search "Soap Opera Effect" in Google!

That's the beauty of this forum.
We're no nearer solving the paint issue (which IMO should polish out easily enough either by hand or machine) but I've learnt something about TV's today
