2008 GTI making ticking sound

I was park and i heard weird ticking i tirn off the a/c and it kinda make the sound a little lower but i still heard it, was driving doing 60 mph when i notice my check emgine light was on i turn around to the advance to plug in the computer(they said both knocking soleniod codes came up) idk it seems kinda fishi both pop up at the same time its has 60xxx miles on it am scare to run it and something else happend

Could it not be just the sound of it cooling down after you have gone for a long drive and then parked up so the tremendous heat in the engine bay might have nothing to do with plugging it in and is in no way fishy that that happened when your car was cooling down and you might want to check what the real problems are on the error codes
