I am coming from a TT mk2 to a mk 7 GTI as much as I love my tt I need somthing more practical.

Hi mate.  I thought about the TT for my next motor.  The new MKIII TT looks fantastic but with the options I chose (including nav & climate) to spec it anywhere near the Golf PP you are looking at least another £5K plus it doesn't get the LSD that the Golf PP has.  The engine and gearbox are the same.  The performance is very close (the TT is slightly lighter). The Golf is way more practical.  No brainer for me
