Not the most exciting car in the world but drove this tonight as my mrs is thinking of changing her 1.6 cooper.
Was expecting very little but honestly what an absolute belter of an engine bmw have made. Understand its the same basic engine as in the I8. Absolutely tons of torque, sounds fizzy, elastic, pulls like hell. I drove the cooper d after it and the petrol nearly pulls as hard. Uphill in 6th gear pulled no problem at 40.
If you are in the market for a small runabout try one.. Think its about 130bhp and will do 45mpg all day, low tax.
