just found an ipod nano from about seven years ago, got about 1k songs on there, and theres some absolute belters on there, currently sat lisning to it.

I want to get all the songs off this and put them onto my computer/iTunes so I can put them onto my phone and new ipod.

now im not really very good with the whole iphone/ipod/iTunes thing, i.e. it wasn't long ago I found out what that little symbol is in the top corner of my phone and why I couldn't rotate the screen (After a 18 months ownership :D)

if I plug the ipod into my computer to extract the songs will I loose all the songs on my iTunes? I think this ipod was set up to a different itunes account if that makes any difference?

i.e. I have ipod with X songs. iphone with Y songs. if iplug ipod in will I loose Y songs? or will it take X songs off ipod and combine them with Y songs?

next question.... how do I get songs off a device onto iTunes? haha

cheers guys

Hey dude,

Check out this link

The basic way of explaining what you need to do is set the ipod to act like a USB flash drive and then you can simply copy and paste the music file off of the ipod.
