I have an issue with my gti it keeps going into what can only be described as "limp mode" however it's inconsistent when it happens doesn't matter if driving carefully or giving it some it happens, there is no warning lights on my dash and not giving any fault codes on my reader. When turn the ignition  off and back on it's back to normal any ideas what it could be ?? Also I've just had diverter valve and pcv replaced as diverter valve was broke and was advises to pcv at same time so I know it's not one them

Your hunt for a bargain GTI has resulted in the usual.  These cars only last so long and then drop to bits.  Expect many expensive visits to the dealers before you sell on.
