What power should i be expecting now?
« on: 27 September 2014, 14:33 »
Hi everyone, i'm taking the golf to be rolling roaded in two weeks, amd was just wondering if anyone knew what to expect bhp wise out of it?
Mods are:
Bluefin stage 1
Milltek catback race non resonated
And pipercross induction kit.
Just so that i can have a rough idea of what to expect?
Thanks!

I had nearly set up as that a while ago and only got 225bhp (approx)

This prompted me me 2 weeks later to go with REVO. Rolled 276bhp and the power was much stronger and smoother.

Let us know what you get mate.

I would think 250bhp 260ftlbs torque but rolling roads are a lottery. Its all down to the operator and calibration.

How loud do you find the non res system, I've got the 3" race res system and find it a bit tame... Which silencers are missing from your system is the single big one or the two under the boot?

That does seem rather low, mine produced 218 as standard and 263 with just the remap (Superchips) and replacement panel filter.

Ye that 225 bhp seems abit low to me, it does feel alot faster than standard so i would think it would be close to about 250bhp ish. But will let you all know as soon as i get it on the rr. The non resonated milltek system is awesome, seriously! It sounds like it should have coming from the factory! There's no silencers at the backbox, just two straight through pipes.

Yeah it may feel a lot faster than standard. Thats probably because the mid range has more bhp and torque.

Top BHP doesnt really mean all that much is regards to feeling fast. Still think the superchips will come out at 225-240bhp (mine did)

Yea that's the exhaust I'm thinking about changing too... If I keep my car I'll get it revo remap and turbo back exhaust and see if that gives it a bit of a better sound... Last thing I want so is for my car to sound like a 106 with a straight through exhaust tho
