New driving licence question
« on: 23 January 2015, 18:04 »
Hi, just recently changed my address on my driving licence and looking it over I noticed a traffic light on the back which had the Amber light coloured, this made me google what this was. Turns out it's nothing at all.

This got me checking the rest of my licence and I have noticed I have some categories on my licence I don't have on my old. Namely A and AM. Which is apparently for motorbikes. I have never been near a bike or testing facility. Has there been some change in the law or am I suddenly allowed to go by a hyabusa and go kill myself?

Age?

You get to a certain age and you can ride certain bikes...

I think
It's a mk2. Fill it, drive it, enjoy it.

They do cock it up sometimes though.  My dad passed his HGV2 test a few years back.  He has poor sight in his right eye, so couldn't take the HGV1 test.  After sending his license off for the HGV2 to be added, it came back with both.  Obviously he never drove an artic as he knew he couldn't though!

A1 allows you to ride a trike and AM is 50cc moped on L-plates far as I'm aware
