There are such things as over engineered this is maybe the fault of the modern day vehicle :grin:

Yes but i'm sick of helping others and gettin no helpful input the last post i had 100 views and no help

I understand your frustration, but as an engineer, you've no doubt got more understanding and insight into mechanical and technical issues than many others.  You have a duty to educate the rest of us numptys.  :grin:  :kiss:  :smiley:

Oh an as a footnote to this i think it was on here i tried educate ppl about torquing a nut/bolt using an extension thus adding torque so a formula is to be used to gain correct torque setting and got repeatly shot down go a head an shear your bolts no odds to me

Lol i used to work with a guy who wondered one day why the flywheel bolts he had torqued were snapping. Factory torque was like 20lbs ft but he had chosen to ignore that and torqued them up to 45lbs ft  :laugh:

I remember that.  You didn't get shot down by me mate. 

Sure, some people will have their own ways of doing things and will never be convinced otherwise, that there may be a better alternative, but that's no reason not to share your knowledge and expertise.  I'm sure it's not lost on everyone.

Found it found now! The airbag top mount on drivers side also potentially suffering from chassis creep

whats the air bag top mount, have any pics? my car rattles, and I want to eliminate all possible things  :cry:

I have airbag suspension on my car obvs not standard but i can get a pick ip next week if your interested there is a thrust bearing in it that has failed i'm sick of trying to stop rattles no matter what you do they persist
