So, been looking at various golf sites over the years, always reading post and looking at pictures though never posting. I've also never had a Golf or VW for that matter but always loved the looks and styling and admired various cars as I've driven around over the years.
My past history of cars is a bit lame but I've always had the intention to get a mk1 golf and do a project at some point. I've just never been in the right situation or had the time to purchase one and invest into it.
So for a while I've been checking out mk4 gti's. I had intended to get a 2.0 just cause I thought it would potentially have less that can go wrong with it and might be better to sell it on when I've done with it.
However, I've been looking at peoples projects and some of the transformations that have been done and I'm hooked and now want a 1.8T.
I'm not massively into the extreme transformations, whilst they look good I prefer a bit more subtle.
So I'm on the look out for a mk4 1.8T. Money as always is an issue but I need one in my life!
I'm a real novice when it comes to anything DIY or cars for that matter, but this site seems like theres a lot of knowledge and people passionate about their cars so I'm hoping that I'll get talking to a few of you and get some tips to but the car and get it looking SICK!
