Bluetooth
« on: 20 August 2014, 14:38 »
Sorry if this is in the wrong area but only new to site today.

Bought the car and have checked all the videos on youtube stating that i should have a box under either passenger seat or driver seat.

Checked both and nothing under either except wiring for heated seats.

On the Stereo it has a function for BT phone connect but nothing on menu to connect or on phone when searching.

All i want to do is bluetooth the phone.

Sounds like you don't have bluetooth capabilities. Have a look in the maintenance and info section. Great write up on how to do it yourself.

All radios have a phone button as do the steering wheels, whether Bluetooth is fitted or not.

Use the <> buttons on the right hand side of the steering wheel to scroll through the menus, if Bluetooth is fitted, it will show up in the MFD. If not, retro fitting is relatively straight forward using genuine parts. Most kits come with an adaptor harness that plugs between the radio and the bluetooth module. They just need a little bit of VCDS coding to make it all work.
Red Mk6 gone replaced with a white Mk7 which has gone too. Green Mk2 here to stay.
