hi as the title says brought a 8v yesterday and have noted a few issues that im want to get sorted ohh should also note that it has had a 20v conversion done to it
problem 1) when i park up the car and take the keys out of the ignition the engine runs on for a second or two not sure if this is a electrical issue or a pre ignition problem
problem 2) the standard (air) central locking seems to be inoperable but i have ordered a electric central locking kit from r click how do i go about wiring this in correctly
problem 3) the boot lock is stuck and i cant seem to get it open i have ordered a full set off ebay barrel handles and boot lock is there a guide knocking about on how to change these and what is the best way to get the boot open so i can change out the lock
problem 4) the guy that done the conversion wired the radiator fan to a switched live so basically it runs continually from the first turn of the key which im not particularly happy about when people do this conversion how do they usually wire in the rad fan
these are the main problems that i want to sort out first as i plan to get it mint but is a little rough round the edges at the moment
the main reason i went for it is i wanted the reliability of the 1.8t lump in the shell of a modern classic plus i know the engine pretty well as my previous was the same and i had that for almost 5 years
