OK, so after speaking to Alex at AKS and spending money (in my head) that I don't have yet, he spoke highly of H&R coilovers. I've been scouting the net looking at reviews and other bits, and I've made myself all confused at what I'd ultimately like to go for. Narrowing it down to two main choices, I've got;
ST Suspension ST XTA Coilovers
vs.
H&R V2 Twin-Tube Stainless Coilovers
Both are going to cost me just shy of £1100 (ish). Both offer height and damper adjustable abilities (the ST also offers adjustable top mounts). Differences is one's H&R, the other is a re-branded KW (which I can't remember if it is a sub-brand of someone else). One crunching factor is matching roll bars, the ST are 1mm thinner than the thickest H&R but are £90 cheaper (at this time).
It's hard to say what my driving style is, I do motorway cruising at 60-70mph but then go a bit crazy down B-roads on a quiet Sunday evening. Looking for a good all-rounder, something that's reliable and easy to tweak and adjust in a few hours. The opinions are both very high but a lot of reviews I've read are BMW and big Audi reviews, so want to get to see the Golf/A3/Leon platform thoughts.
