new project

New project any ideas what I should do as don't want to ruin it as solid shell but 1.3 won't cut it was thinking TDI route any suggestions?? Mk2 type 19 and pics to come

ABF is a good all round choice but being a 1.3 means a lot will need changing.

The cars been stood 10 years abf possibly how hard is a 1.8t conversion as I want to keep car as original looking as pos cheers for replies

Both are going to be a lot of work, abf would probably be easier and cheaper as you would need less parts and the parts are generally cheap and easily available

Yeah nothings ever easy!! See I was getting the feeling of just getting the 1.3 lump running again and taking it back to original as I can, but I know I won't be happy with that and will always favour the mods and a decent engine conversion. All that said though I've advertised it on here to see what interest I get as I don't really have lots of time for a project, well not unless I wish to be single again lol but if I didn't get a good offer then would keep or strip
