So got vcds etc and trying to a ecu swap same engine etc and is a used ecu. Got the walkthrough where to put the pin from original into new but where on earth is the pin been at this for 2 hours now lol
2001 mk4 GTI 1.8t AUM. k&n induction kit with customer heat shield, 3'' TIP, Forge 007P, Stage 1 map, N249 bypass, 3'' downpipe and decat, 2.75'' Jetex cat back non res, Koni shockers and H&R springs 35mm, dimpled and grooved disks front and back

need vag tacho.  Pin is stored in the ECU and the cluster.

You need the PIN (SKC) from the ecu your replacing it with or you'll have trouble.  Pretty hard to get too for immo 3 if thats what your running.

So get pin from clocks then adapt the new ecu with the pin from clocks

Don't even need skc on immo 2 clocks.  Look on ross texh for immo 2 coding.  Set a value in ecu to 1 and it'll learn itself.
