Hi everyone just bought myself a MK1 GTI Campaign and decided to join up. This will be my first golf and seeing as I'm only 20 she won't be on the road for a while  . Always wanted to buy one since I read an article in a magazine about the mk1's still being made in South Africa about 5/6 years ago and my recent employment has meant I've been able save up for one (and wipe my bank account clean).  The cars in great condition but needs some tinkering here and there so I'm hoping some of you veterans can offer me advice if I have some trouble.

Hello Tom, welcome to the forum, I'm relatively new myself, however, if you take your time to look through the posts you will soon realise there is a lot of good and very specific information on here covring everything from wiper blades to body and engine repairs.
