Hmmmm
« on: 01 May 2014, 20:02 »
I went to reading today and collected an armrest I had won on fleabay, on arrival I noticed they were Vw tuners and dealt with revo software, so obv I posed a question or 2... I said that I had a recent rebuild and newly run in turbo and was running a stage 1 rtech, and asked what was needed for a stage 2 with revo, he said all I needed was 4 bar fuel reg and turbo back exhaust, he said intake and fmic were optional not required, which made me think they are a bit shabby? Full miltek turbo back was £1160 plus 60 fitting and stage 2 was 379 plus vat!
So nearly 1750 for that lot..... Am I wrong or would you be crazy to not fit a fmic?

Armrest was good though! Fitted it in 20min :)

Sounds expensive for what you'll get!!!

I think that will prob be a generic map, and if that's all thats needed for a stage 2 then I think no one would get a stage 1 if really it's just a free flowing exhaust that's needed extra!!!!

I love avoiding revo, one less than a mile from my house yet I still drove to r-tech, and will be again for my custom hybrid map

I inherited the rtech re map and I can't hear enough good things about them, revo are a gimmick in my eyes but I may be wrong, I just feel they don't have pride it's just off the shelf, not individual to each car?

What brand is it bro? Does it need valves welding and stuff? Are you selling it or waiting to fit it bro?

I guess the Milltek was turbo back including sports cat at that price? (I sell them at £1120), For comparison a resonated cat back system is £470

Yeah that's including a sports cat etc.... £470 is a bit much for a cat back system? I can get a miltek cat back for £379

Non resonated are £410 from me (I can't get close to £379 as there's not enough margin! Typical of all brands, they offer 10-15% off rrp to small traders and double that for the big spenders who then just undercut us making it impossible to get the higher discounts!)
