Am new to this forum ...
I recently bought a 1992 mk 2 golf gti 8v...it sweet i love it, but today i jumped in and the rev counter only went to 2krpm and stayed there for a bit, then dropped to 1.5krpm at idle, but the car is idling fine. When i tap the top of the dash the needle drops!
I drove it a bit (all fine). I noticed it dropped back down, albeit in a jerky fashion. When i turned it off the needle is stuck just above the needle post thing.
Any ideas ?
fuses?
connections ?
lube the needle ?
