2.0 gti clutch
« on: 31 March 2014, 22:21 »
Hi, my clutch has started slipping recently, it makes a squealing noise when it slips, is this just gonna be the plate or could it be something else, like the flywheel?

I'm not at work yet so I am guessing this has a dmf? I would expect a rattle if the flywheel had gone although if your  swapping the clutch both should be done
I sell well priced solid flywheel clutch conversion kits and can get you a price if you confirm your reg or engine code (I sell national,  borg and beck and luk)

I'd advise you get the flywheel replaced while doing the clutch. it's peace of mind and shouldn't result in another gearbox off repair if it does go later down the line.

I have looked and the 2.0 is listed as normal flywheel (not dmf) which I do a 3 piece clutch kit for £66 delivered (National clutch 2 year warranty) or a Borg and Beck 3 piece kit £88 delivered
