Bonnet
« on: 17 October 2003, 22:19 »
My car is tornado red and the bonnet has faded slightly  :-\.  Is there anything I can do to bring the colour back??  If not, how much roughly would it cost to get it resprayed..?  ???

Cheers

Neil

PS if anyone knows of a non-faded red bonnet up for grabs, let me know..!    :)

I just bought a red gti and the whole car was very faded(almost white)
I used rough cutting compound
then t-cut
then repeated the above process
then polish
the car looks great (but be careful on the edges as compound will take the paint off leaving the primer)

hope this helps

Mer polish, in a blue bottle from Halfords - its great for my golf, you can put it on when the car is still wet, comes up a treat
I don't own this anymore - I just can't be arsed to change the picture
