Hi from Surrey

Hi. Just joined as just bought a 2006 Mk5 GTI. In Silver, a 6 speed manual with leather and 18" Monzas.

It'll be our 3 GTI. We had a 95 2.0 Mk3 (not the greatest of cars if I'm honest) and a 99 1.8T Mk4 (once of the best cars I've ever had).

Usually frequent BMW forums as an owner of my 5th 5 series (a 530i Sport) and a 1989 325i convertible with Alpina C2 2.7 lump.

Therefore thought I'd better join here as no doubt will need some guidance.

Welcome aboard. I also joined recently,and am in Surrey too.
Like you,not on my first gti. Had a silver mk4,which I had for 7 years. Sold for an Audi a4t,which I kept for 3 years. But missed the gti so much,I recently part-ex for my current one.
Guys on here are really good whenever you need any guidance.
