How to remove ERROR on display

Hi everybody just wanted to see if any of you knew how to get rid of the ERROR on the DISPLAY panel when I went to find out what it was using an Iphone app it said the EGR Valve needed cleaning which I have done so just want to know if there is any way of resetting it without having to use a garage please?

Any help would be very greatfully received.

you mean you wanna get rid of 'check engine' light....?

can't your phone app delete that?

if not look for a vcds user (like myself, but am 100+ miles away)

No it actually says ERROR and if you press the button on the right of the speedo it goes of so you can see the mileage.

i may be in brid next week if you need it looking at. Have you tried to clock the milage or something?
You dont need to answer that but i can fix it if thats what caused it...
