Rear passenger door not locking

A new little problem with my Mk5 gti... the offside passenger door isn't locking even if i double press the key fob. All the other doors/boot are locked but i can open the rear passenger door! It just sets off the hazard lights

any clues as to why this is happening?

Get it scanned as it's more than likely a faulty door locking mechanism issue.
