Securing door moulding strips, which ones?
«

I have bought some black VR6 highline door strips to go on my 3door 16v. For some reason when I try to secure it some of the clips keep popping out etc. I know there are two kinds of clips. Does anybody know what size clips I need snd in what order they go on? The ones I got are cheap aftermarket ones. Was thinking getting genuine ones for £35?

Some clips are deeper than others so decide which ones are which ,deepest ones probably go on where your trim keeps poping off,it was ages ago since I did mine ,I cant remember the order

my list shows you need 3 short and 2 long stem clips for the door (I do a set like this for £4.50 posted inc green rubber gromits, not genuine but good quality!)
o.e ref
1H0853585B x3 (short)
1H0853585 x2 (long)
1H0856586 x5 (Rubber Grommets)
