Noise after lowering, Driveshaft?
« on: 17 February 2014, 10:45 »
Hi all finally got my golf back.......

Anyway i bought new shocks for it and after finnting them the car was really low, the front splitter was only 35mm off the ground which was waaaaaayy too low i droveit about 20 miles with those on and after all the inner arched being scuffed i decided it was undrivable, when i was driving it there was a sort of rubbing noise and a vibration through the floor from the passenger footwell. ive raised it back up to where it was and the noise is still there but just not as bad, theres nothing loose round about the hub although when i pulled my hub off the shock the driveshaft sliped out the cv joint very easily and pushed back in very easily, could the car being that low have broke something in the cv joint ?

thanks
