If you go for stiff top mounts then you should consider reinforcing the turret so it doesn't bend.

Something has to give and luckily the top mounts are, but replace them and then something else will give, the metal.

Something is seriously wrong if the top mounts are only lasting a few months.  I put new Febi mounts all round on mg 16v when I installed the 40mm Eibach springs and Weitec ultra GT shortened struts about 3 years ago with plenty kf hard driving and theyre still in great condition.  :huh:

not sure what to do as im fed up of changing them every year , the bearings never go its just the rubbers squash and cause a gap in the top hats in the bay and squeak , may take them off grease them and see what happens

they look normal to me


oh and I am due some meyle hd mounts complete with bearings very soon £30 the pair they will be (them listed on your link are without bearings)

Look fine to me too.

I replaced mine when they where twice that gap.

That's good news then !

So looms like I should take them out and grease them by the sounds of it as they only squeak when cold ?
