Steering bang
« on: 29 December 2013, 23:27 »
Hi chaps,
In last few days i have noticed that when i turn the steering i keep hearing a loud noice from passenger side ( This is mainly when i put full lock on and not under normal driving that you hear it) Obviously something needs replacing. Any ideas?

It's not a cv joint sort of noise. It's sounds more like spring movement or something like that. Someone today suggested shocker top? Not sure if this would create that sound

I think I read that when the top mounts go the springs can get noisy? I could be way off the mark though..
I thought Volkswagens were supposed to be reliable?
