You don't rotate the struts,you spin the bracket round that they attach to.You then,at the other end where the strut fits to the door,it pushes onto a pin.This pin is replaced with a longer one.Then the buffers where the tailgate closes are replaced with ones that have a spring in them.This pushes the tailgate and gives it momentum enough for the struts to take over when you press your key fob.
