So what does the mean? Better cooling for the GTi if swapped?
Better cooling of the forced induction compressed gases for more efficient turbo operation - cooler gases are denser, and see a higher rate of expansion upon combustion. If you're planning on upping the power in your GTI you need to ensure your intercooler is capable of coping with the higher rate of work that a remapped engine can allow. Doubt you'd see any appreciable benefits fitting one of these to a stock GTI, but for an uprated one you would.
Depends where you are. It gets into the high 40s here and my old astra VXR struggled in the heat with inlet temps (although it was mapped)
