Sorry that you're having a tough time with it Mr Savage, sounds pretty bad! Was your car an early car by any chance?
The only issue I can offer some advice with is the G3 Glasscoat. I very much doubt that the dealership employee who applied the stuff will have been a) trained to apply it properly and b) as meticulous as you need to be with applying SiO2 based coatings, therefore, inflicting scratches (unless applied/buffed with new/perfectly clean applicators then it's easy to inflict damage).
Where abouts in the country are you? I would be asking the dealer to subcontract to a professional detailer to rectify the work. My guess is that all they are doing in the bodyshop is buffing at high speed on the machine with a polish which is too aggressive, therefore inflicting even more marks. I'm not saying this is definitely the case but it's what happens every time I've seen dealership bodyshop work. The polish and polishing pad combo needs to become less and less abrasive to refine the finish to a crisp and scratch free surface.
Let me know where you are and I'll recommend a well respected detailer in your area.
Jon
Hi Jon,
Yeah you're probably right. They definitely didn't bother removing the G3 fixing the paint and reapplying it. They've made a right mess. Was gonna get it booked in to Midlands Car Care. I live in Nottingham.
