Hi Chaps, new to this forum but not new to Golf's......Having just acquired a Magic Black Pearl 2006 GTI DSG one owner from new FSH with 104,600 miles....
I know the miles seem quite heavy but the motor was owned by a school teacher who has never really had the car over 3000 revs through fear of getting points on his Mini Bus licence for the school!!!

The car itself is clean and is in need of some tender loving.....I got up for work this morning and started it and heard a squeaking type noise in 2 degrees temp and I have been assured by a mate who is a VW specialist that it is probably just a gasket and the rattle on lower gear changes and under load could be a leaking manifold....and it struggled to start yesterday

Other than that she's a fine little motor seeing as I snapped it up for £5400. I had an R32 2006 last year and just couldn't shake the VW bug as I sold the R32 for a tidy little profit after having it just over 6 months!! It wasn't big enough to fit three kids in but I've bought a Le Mans Audi since so it's time for another toy...

Just need a wheel refurb to a different colour and some carpet and the seats cleaning....... 'Just me being fussy'

Well it turns out after all that when the previous owner had the timing belt done they left out some of the engine mount bolts and I was lucky the engine didn't pop out as the driveshaft was rubbing causing the rattling noise......!
