Saw this over on the Audi Sport forum. For the A3 they do a removable holder designed to take a phone (maximum size is around an iphone it seems), along with a slot for the advanced key (Keyless) fob that fits into the forward cup holder.
Looks like a cup holder (like the removable ashtray you get that slots into the front cup holders on the Golf). As it's the same diameter as the Golf's cup holders and doesn't carry any Audi Branding externally, just thought I'd post it here in case anyone was looking for a solution to this ?
