Reversing Camera - Now discontinued?

Which dealer is this - they should have given you the order number within a week. If i were you I would really get on their case as no doubt they have a wedge of your cash (deposit) now?

The camera thing is just rank muppetry really and they need to sort their act out rather than give customers information thats four months out of date!

It's Liverpool VW buddy. I have to be honest, I'm a little disappointed with the feedback since I placed my order... Unsurprisingly, they we're great beforehand!

I'm a sales guy myself (different industry) and it really frustrates me at the fact that most car salesmen/women don't have enough passion/product knowledge. At risk of sounding like a to55er, I know I could do a much better job just by frequenting the forums and swotting up on specs/bulletins/information about the product.

I'll give him a call today to see if they have even looked at my email... At this point I've had no confirmation of the order being placed other than a card receipt for the deposit!

Very, very poor. I know some dealers seem a bit reluctant to put your order in writing but you should demand it together with the order number. I got a nice letter from mine confirming the car and spec (although they were via Drivethedeal so maybe they try harder!!).

Then again if they have not got the allocation they may have not actually placed the order!!

So I ended up sending an email to the sales team at Liverpool VW, who (to be fair) rang me back within 10mins.

My car has been given an unconfirmed BW4 so I've asked for a March collection. That's sooner than I expected but it's early days yet!

He also said that the car is on the VW system with the Rear Camera specified!

I ordered the rear view camera when I placed my order last week and it has gone through no problem.
