Can anyone let me know a registration number to get insurance quotes please?

Hi all,

Due to my situation, I am in the need of short term insurance to get my car from the dealer to the port to get it out of the country. Unfortunately a lot of the websites will only quote on a car from the registration number.

So would any of you kind souls let me use your registration number to get some quotes? I'll do nothing other than get the quotes for short term car insurance.

I just need one for a 3 door GTI Performance pack.

I know I could probably find photos on the net but would not be 100% sure of the spec and would obviously prefer to get the car owners permission to use their registration number prior to using it..

I'll just use one from a dealer!!

Yes, just go on VW UK website or Autotrader and pull a reg no off a second hand car for sale in near enough equivalent spec.

can the dealer not supply drive away cover for 7 days

Exonian - got one off the auto trader although it was a 5 door PP instead. Good idea though!

Barry - it's a tax free sale so (for some reason) I don't get the usual full range of dealer facilities.

Quote comes out at around £100 for a week which isn't too bad considering the saving I got on the car.
