Even so, still more cost effective to modify mine with a few grand and get it more powerful and better chassis setup than a Mk6. If I upgrade now, I'd have to go Golf R anyway, my rule is I can never go down in power.

Lowest plate I can see a stealer buying is 06/56 plate. maybe the dealer was getting confused with the ed30 which could/will become a collectors item.
