Retro fitting Xenons
« on: 08 October 2013, 20:34 »
I know this question will have been asked but here goes anyway

i will probably want to retrofit xenon headlights, i have seen to fit them you need

headlight, ballast and bulbs
then kufatec adaptor wired to your cecm for high beam and they should work after coding albeit with out self leveling

is this correct?

also to fit the self leveling i will need a new cecm, but i read that the new cecm will need to be coded with the old code and the keys will need to recoded to the car? is this the case?

i know its a grey area on self leveling but can they be manually adjusted and failing that is there anyone in the southwest ideally cornwall that knows there way round vagcom and what needs to be done?

and failing all of that does anyone know of good repro's that are plug and play?

Thanks, any help much appreciated and fill in any blanks would be a great help
