Just thought I would give some quick feedback regarding my recent stage 1 map from the guys at R-Tech on my 1.8t AGU.
My car was first checked with a diagnostics tool - no errors found. Then was smoke tested just to make sure there were no boost leaks - none found. Next, the car went on the rollers and pulled 153bhp and 166lbft stock on v-power. Then, Nick worked his magic and produced 182bhp and 228lbft which now pulls like a train. Nick said that if the actuator was stronger it would have been higher but my cars done 75k of mixed town/motorway driving so can't have everything I suppose.
The map has totally transformed the car but still feels oem when tootling around town which is great. Economy has improved by approx 5mpg. There is no slow speed hesitation whatsoever and the power delivery is actually far smoother than the standard map.
Anyone thinking about having their 1.8t done, these guys really are fantastic and certainly know their stuff!! This is a mod that really does push you back in your seat - the difference is unbelievable.
