They are stored for a set amount of start cycles and then if fault not seen again it will be cleared down by ECU without need for diagnostic computer

George: Seen this on any other MK7s? If it only happens the once i'll not be bothered, maybe just settling in. On the other hand, below 40mph my suspension seems to have like a rubbery squeak/gurgle. Thought that if it isn't the suspension that it might be gurgling of fuel sloshing about in the tank. Any ideas? Again, i'll give it a thousand miles to disappear before I go chasing it up at the garage.
Whey ya bugger! It's finally arrived after an 8 month wait....

Not seen any issues on them yet. Difficult to comment on noises without hearing them in person

faults that keep showing as faults will remain as they won't be cleared by the reset cycle. that's what I was getting at.

Don't know if you got this sorted but there is a software update for parking brake fault coming on dash. It will take approx 2 hours to complete as there are a lot of sensors to recalibrate once update has been completed. Hope this helps

Hadn't happened again, but my car has been sat at work for 2 weeks doing nowt whilst i've been on holiday. Back Weds. Is this something you'd have done anyway, or just if it happens again?

It would only be something we would update when there is a customer complaint.
