Depends 2011-2012 cars have a slightly different one. Earlier cars can still suffer not as bad as earlier versions of the valve on the mk5 but they car tear. At around £35 a go for 4 years use replacing a standard one with another is not that expensive if it goes.

I would say this mod is more for modified cars like stage 2 Iirc Neil posted about it previously and was going to get one

I did fit the early edition version of the DV+ and it wasn't holding the boost due to the piston been too short and the spring not strong enough for the k04's boost
Credit to the manufactures on this tho they soon brought out an update for this and sent it out to the suppliers, who then posted onto who ever is having issues, I fitted the larger piston and spring and now it is much much better, boost is now very strong and throttle response is pretty much instant,

I think the problem was only on the K04 conversion and not on the standard IHI turbo,
I would only do this mod if your car is stage 2 or above, no great benefit on a standard car

A few more early opinions on this mod
