Red all the way, white just blends in with all the other white cars out there

I know white is popular but, is red that rare?

It is around Newcastle. It’s about 40% white, 10% metallic blue, 20% metallic greys (all shades inc silver), 10% Copper metallic or Burgundy metallic (all from Jukes – massive amount of Jukes around Newcastle and Sunderland, presumably due to Sunderland Nissan plant workers and people “buying local”), and then everything else makes up the difference (reds, greens, yellows).

I would say that 2/3 of the Golfs and Sciroccos in my area are white, with most of the others being pearl black or metallic grey. Apart from the Jukes brightening things up, the Newcastle car spectrum (especially VWs) is pretty monochrome.

Why does it not surprise me that red isn't popular round the Newcastle area

It’s alright if you don’t get any white on it.
