that spiral thing inside the piston should rotate one way. kind of like a ratchet. it might just be sticky.

the spiral drive shaft thingy only twists a few mm on both calipers. these clearly work as they should as the good piston drives outwards when tried in both.

yeah but when caliper is in use the spiral only works 1 way. that's why you need to turn the pistons back in.
