Hello peeps, was looking for some like-minded VW people and came across this site...so decided to join up.
Have a Golf MK5 GT TDi 170 (with the dreaded DPF). It cost me almost £1300 today as a result of the aircon compressor packing up, requiring a flush through. Main dealer told me compressor was broke, then it wasn't, then it was

was also told it hadn't spewed its contents around my aircon system...and then it had...then I find out I couldn't be given the knackered compressor as it was on its way back to Germany for reconditioning

and then the 'new' one fitted to my car was a reconditioned unit (£450). It would seem this is how VW dealers replace aircon compressors on their customer's cars...faulty compressor gets taken off of car, goes back to Germany, gets reconditioned, finds its way back onto another car whose compressor has failed..and so on...is this legal? The bit that came off was mine!!
Think I feel a complaint coming on. Anyone else had these sort of problems??
