Replacing Front Discs and Pads
« on: 19 August 2013, 12:41 »
Has anyone replaced there pads recently?

Looking online, and there are plenty available, but there seems to be lots of differing dimensions.

Thanks in advance

I did discs and pads front and back on mine recently. I stuck with genuine parts and got a good deal from TPS. I know it's not a GTI, but £158 plus VAT for the lot.
Red Mk6 gone replaced with a white Mk7 which has gone too. Green Mk2 here to stay.

I did my front pads on the front not so long ago. Was going to get EBC but just decided to stay with standard Bosch ones. I think the £25 instead of £80 swayed it!!

I can't remember exact dimensions but Bosch only has one as far as I'm aware, I got them from Andrew page. If ur looking at others ie EBC just go with the cheaper option from research these were same size as Bosch

Hope this helps!

Thank you

I ended up going with eurocar parts with there 30% off, paid £21 i believe. Shouldnt have a problem fitting them.

Cheers
