Just brought my 2001 GTI, big step up from the 1.2 Clio I was driving before!
Currently sitting pretty much standard, aside from Xenon lights (R32 I believe) and I think the winterpack as it has headlight washers?
Picked it up at just over 90k for 1600, in near perfect condition inside and out!
Checked the engine code and its running an AUM engine with the ko3s turbo, so a straight remap is going to be the first mod! I'm expecting to achieve upto about 200/210bhp with no other mods? This about the correct level?
Was also considering a simple decat pipe before the stage 1 remap as I've got a few bits from the clio left to sell which should raise enough for the decat pipe but not a full system. Could I expect to see anymore gains with just a decat pipe and a remap as opposed to just a remap?
Unsure on where to take it next, however I am considering keeping it OEM and going for the anniversary edition suspension and alloys for a better stance, along with r32 front end.
