My mk4 gti T keeps cutting out! Help please!!

Hi there guys my cars playing up and my friends have been telling my all sorts, time to take it to the guys who know best about gti's.

It's a really annoying problem and is starting to become real dangerous ill be driving it can be in any gear at any speed and appears to be anywhere in the rev range. It especially likes it if I give it some welly round corners or apply power around a corner or roundabout and when I'm pulling off! The power will just cut out, totally flat line, you can keep our foot down and it will then cut back in and then carry on accelerating, or take your foot off the gass and back on and it will carry on like before, but even then sometimes it will do it again strait away. its very sporadic one day nothing the next all the time! engine and everything will still be running when the power cuts out and everything is still running. Really confused any ideas!?

Enough fuel in it? (Not bein sarcastic) if its low it can cut out on roundabouts etc

Check the spark plugs, coil packs and even the fuel pump

Put a full tank of fuel in it and see if it does it still if not its your fuel pump.

What engine code is it? Could possibly be a fault with the pedal if its drive-by-wire,
Really need to get the car scanned for DTC's.

Maybe a throttle body alignment would help

Does the engine cut out and you have to restart it? Or is the car still gunning but no power?

Ill try the fuel trick see if it does it still or not. The most is ever have in it at one time is just over half! I've scanned it and its not pulling anything up. It's strange thinking back it started just after i cleaner out the throttle body:S does this need re-setting or anything?
