Help! Reassembling Mk2 after 3 years in bits.
« on: 08 August 2013, 11:25 »
Hello all, I'm trying to reconnect the engine wiring in a 'small bumper' mk2 8v after 3 years in bits, I've got most of the wiring sorted but have a few wires that I can't figure.

There's an earth strap from a plate on the end of the rocker/cam cover, it looks like it should go to somewhere on the bulkhead but not sure where? Also there is a brown and white wire with a circular connector on it which comes out of the same bit of loom that the water temp sender wire comes. Does anyone have any sharp pictures of the engine bay of an unmodified small bumper Mk2 which shows the wiring clearly?

Thanks in advance

Thanks very much, earth strap now connected by coil but I cant find an earth wire from the dizzy, there's a spade connection on the side of the dizzy but cant find any spade to fit it, the only one around there is the one to the top of the oil cooler, oil temp I think?

Oil temp is on back of the head just above exhaust manifold on cylinder 4.

There should be 3 spade or button senders around water outlet below dizzy. Red/green, red/yellow and blue/white are the wires for them
